Please note, the Media Fellows Scholarship is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors.

Essay Guidelines (500 words maximum, double-spaced)

We’re excited to learn more about you! Please write an essay that helps us understand your academic journey and goals. To ensure we have all the information needed to evaluate your application, please include each of the following areas:

1. Tell us about your academic background

  • Your current university and expected graduation date
  • Your major(s) and minor(s)
  • Any extracurricular activities related to your studies

2. Share your financial situation We want to support students who truly need assistance, so please help us understand:

  • Why financial support would make a difference for you
  • How receiving this scholarship would impact your education
  • Any financial challenges you’re working to overcome

3. Walk us through your upcoming coursework

  • What courses do you plan to take this academic year?
  • How do these classes fit into your career preparation?
  • Which ones are you most excited about and why?

4. Share your career vision

  • What are your career goals for the next few years and beyond?
  • How is your coursework preparing you for success?
  • Tell us about any work experience, internships, or other activities that have shaped your goals
